How to Cancel

Call 1-800-427-8686. Navigate the automated menu to reach a representative. Verify your identity, tell them you want to cancel, and get a confirmation number plus the rep’s name.

Cancellation is effective at the end of your current billing cycle.

Tip: Have your account number, billing address, and preferred cancellation date ready. Time your cancellation near the end of your billing cycle because Astound charges for the full month regardless. If you are not ready to fully cancel, ask about downgrades or a cheaper speed tier first.

The only cost is timing. Astound doesn’t prorate, so you pay the full month no matter when you cancel. Exception: if you cancel within 30 days of activation, you may qualify for a full refund.

Important: Cancel near the end of your billing cycle. If you cancel the day after a new cycle starts, you’re paying for a full month of service you won’t use. There’s no partial refund.
