How to Cancel
Phone (Recommended)
Call 1-800-934-6489 and say “cancel service.” You’ll get routed to the retention department. They’ll pitch you deals. If you’ve made up your mind, stay firm and don’t engage with the offers.
Before you hang up, get a confirmation number and ask for email confirmation within 2 business days. Confirm the final bill amount and your equipment return deadline.
Online
Submit a cancellation request at xfinity.com/support/cancel-service. A rep will call you back within 2 business days to confirm. You still end up on the phone either way.
In-Person
Visit any Xfinity store. Find locations at xfinity.com/local/store-offers. Bring a photo ID and your account info. You can return equipment on the spot.
Comcast Cable, ATTN: Service Change Requests, 1701 JFK Blvd., Philadelphia, PA 19103. Include your name, account number, service address, phone number, reason, and requested date. Slow but it’s on paper.

How to Return It
UPS Store - take your equipment to a UPS corporate store (not access points). They package and ship it for free. You get a receipt with tracking. This is the best option.
Xfinity Store - bring equipment and a photo ID. Immediate receipt with serial numbers.
Online - visit xfinity.com/returns, select your devices, print prepaid labels, and ship.
Deadline
10 days. One of the shortest return windows in the industry. Don’t sit on this.
Unreturned Equipment Fee
Roughly $110 per device. It adds up fast if you had multiple boxes.
After You Cancel
Final bill includes service charges through your billing cycle end, any ETF, and equipment fees if applicable. Arrives within 2-4 weeks.
Confirmation comes by email within 2 business days. If it doesn’t show up, call back.
Reactivation is available, but you won’t get new-customer promos if you’ve had Xfinity within the last 30-90 days.
