How to Cancel
Phone (Recommended)
Call 1-800-427-8686. Navigate the automated menu to reach a representative. Verify your identity, tell them you want to cancel, and get a confirmation number plus the rep’s name.
Cancellation is effective at the end of your current billing cycle.
Live Chat
Go to astound.com/contact-us, choose live chat, and type “Cancel Service.” Available during business hours. Same process as phone but in text.
In-Person
Visit a local Astound office. Call first to confirm the location accepts cancellations. Bring a photo ID, a recent bill, and your equipment if you want to return it on the same trip.
What It Costs
Nothing. Astound runs month-to-month with no contracts and no early termination fees.
The only cost is timing. Astound doesn’t prorate, so you pay the full month no matter when you cancel. Exception: if you cancel within 30 days of activation, you may qualify for a full refund.

Unreturned Equipment Fees
$50-$200+ per device depending on the equipment type. Monthly rental fees ($8-$10/month) also continue until equipment is returned.
After You Cancel
Final bill includes prorated service charges through cancellation, outstanding equipment rental fees, applicable taxes, and any overpayment credits. Arrives within 1-2 billing cycles.
Confirmation is sent in writing within 1-2 weeks. Call back if you don’t receive it.
Reactivation is available. After 60+ days, you’re considered a new customer and may qualify for promotional offers.
